    First let me start by saying that Howard Vieau is an incredibly nice guy and a heck of a salesman. However, The Sierra Group is DBA A Deck Company, A Basement Company, and A Remodel Company. I have to take issue with. September 2015 I received a flyer from Sierra Group/Basement Company for basement finishing. I was told that I could have it done by Thanksgiving 2015. He sold me! As I brought in the new year of 2016 it wasn’t close to being done. It finished completely for final walk through in June 2016.

    I have a very nice looking basement. My main problems are two: 1) the deadlines Sierra Group/Basement Company kept promising was constantly missed with my presumption being he had too few of workers and 2) I have complained to him for 5 months that the enclosed duct work now has a horribly loud rattling resonating throughout the main floor above and all the way to the upper level of our home; a sound that was never there before the completion of the basement.

    I have asked Sierra Group/Basement Company to fix it many many times. As I write this in January of 2017, they still have not come out. My fear was that once I made the final payment to the Sierra Group/Basement Company I would not have any recourse to fix any issues. My fear has become reality. I even had them write the following to me at completion, “Disclaimer: The Sierra Group is aware of the ventilation vibration after the construction project was completed. The Sierra Group takes full responsibility if anything should go wrong with the HVAC system that proves to be due to, or connected to the basement construction. Please contact Howard directly immediately if anything does go wrong.”
    I will be happy to update this if it is ever remedied so if you don’t see an update, know that it wasn’t ever fixed.

    I love the way the basement looks. Howard is a great guy and salesguy. Unfortunately I am disappointed in the Sierra Group/Basement Company and would suggest you take caution when using the company.
