I agreed to let Tim Pate build my custom house. The results were less than satisfactory on many levels.The contract price was over $37k of the appraised value. The trim work,paint and detail work was very marginal. This builder used the wrong size doors in the bedroom closets.There were several significant post build issues such as a sagging roof area and backyard drainage problems.Some repairs were never completed during the 1 yr warranty period and I discovered a roof leak only several days after the warranty expired.Tim did not respond to calls regarding problems toward the warranty end. I do not recommend this builder

We had a flood in our house and it was a nightmare. Pate construction helped with everything, from helping with estimates, to keeping us up to date on the progress. Tim did a great job, on time, just like he said he would do and me and my wife were so very pleased with the workman ship that was showed. I would highly recomend Pate Construction to anyone in the area for home needs or repairs.
My parents hired him to build an additional room on to their house and bathroom and pool. They messed up basically everything, the grout in the bathroom was messed up within the first week, he said he’d fix and never did. The pool liner is already coming apart and needs servicing. They messed up the cement and had to put in a drain bc dirty water was flowing into the pool. They also used second hand materials, and his workers left trash inside and out. My mom even had to personally ask them to stop smoking in her house. And Tim wants nothing to do with helping you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER. He absolutely will take your money and run.

- And he ultimately took their and ran
This was going to be my moms dream home and he made it into a nightmare by offering cheaper prices.
