    DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR. My parents hired this company to build a fairly straightforward house when it was a partnership between two guys, Dennis and Tom. Dennis was incredibly professional and organized, but made an intelligent departure from the partnership with the wholly incompetent and disorganized Tom around halfway through the project.

    Tom is the most disorganized, unprofessional, wholly incompetent person to have build your home. He will not answer the phone, will not show up when he tells you he will, is constantly forgetting crucial steps of the home building process leading to lengthy construction and inspection delays, and has zero system of organization beyond committing todo items to his poor memory. My parents are too nice to yell at him, and he will gladly take advantage of any kindness you show him to make as many excuses as possible for dereliction of his duty.

    One of the things about someone as incompetent as Tom is that incompetence breeds incompetence, and the people he will bring into your house will be just as unqualified as he is. Tom's electrician literally does not understand how to wire a lightbulb to a switch properly - the guy puts batteries in backwards, and my dad had to fix his wiring after he left so the bulb could turn off! All the competent people left with Dennis, and the people who remain at this company will cause you tremendous stress and delay your project for months. Tom was single-handedly responsible for multiple delayed home inspections due to overlooking simple and easily correctable mistakes.

    Tom did manage to finish the house, and we were looking forward to the day that they could rid themselves of this incompetent man. He made an aggressive offer to also take up the landscaping for the front and backyard - the job that was supposed to be done in a month sits incomplete over 3 months later. I just went outside to talk to the ONE guy he sent to work here, and it turns out this totally innocent guy is being shorted his pay by Tom for some really hard labor. So asides from being incompetent, he treats his employees very poorly, and has dishonest interactions with pretty much everyone he works with.

    You should seriously reconsider if Tom has offered to build your house. You will end up months behind schedule, over budget, and having to deal with a lot more stress than you would like to.
