Andrew Gumpert and Tracey Matthews sold a great line of goods and I bought it. When it came time to deliver the product they failed to bring the job in even close to on time. The in ground saltwater pool and concrete work they did for me looks fine. It was the communication and failure to meet the deadline THEY said they could. My at worse case scenario painted for me by them was 30 days. My pool took 3 months. Started late July and done 31 October. There was only two workers at any given time, most of the time it was one, less the delivery people, they worked half days and most days not at all. One excuse after another when I called asking when they were going to finish the job. We had a few days bad weather and that seemed to be the go to excuse along with "other jobs". When pressured they were offended by my demands to finish the job. They then had the nerve to ask for the final payment on the job prior to the jobs completion citing my contract with threats of lawsuit.Tracey became hostile when I stated that when they showed some progress I would show some money. I was able to work with Andy compromising by offering 50% of remaining balance (1/4 of total job) due at that time (50% was already paid)and the final 1/4 when job was done.. (By then I believed they could not pay for the remaining concrete without my funds and the job was close to finished) Tracy Matthews over exaggerated hostile response was the most childish display I have ever witnessed and was without a doubt the reason I am even posting this review. Her behavior was not only unprofessional but resulted in my telling Mr Gumpert that should she return to the jobsite I would have her arrested for treasspassing. While not pleased by any measure with the professional attitude or work ethics of either person the pool looks as was promised. The pump leaked the first week due to a crack in the joint and I used another company to make the repairs. Only time will tell if the construction holds up. I do NOT recommend this company and they have changed names from Tortuga Pools to New Living Pools. Not worth the headache!
