I had Travco Construction redo my deck and it was the worst decision I had ever made. Travis Schneider didn’t want me to pull a permit. When he failed the inspection he started yelling at me that he said he didn’t want to pull a permit. One of the many reasons he failed was he didn’t put any bolts connecting part of the deck into the supporting posts, a safety issue. He admitted he had the parts but thought the inspector wouldn’t notice. Now I have my family on the deck and I want it to be safe, I couldn’t believe he was admitting that. I let him have access into my home to use the bathroom in my basement. I caught him on cameras going into areas he wasn’t allowed to go. I found empty beer cans in the dumpster he was using for the old deck boards. After seeing his work I went on TimberTechs website and researched the installation specifications and found out that he didn’t follow a lot of them. When I asked Travis about the installation guidelines he didn’t know most of what I asked him about. I would have liked to think he knew what he was doing. He installed scratched and damaged TimberTech boards all over the main portion of my deck. When I asked him about it he stated ya I probably shouldn’t have installed those. When I asked him to fix it he said he would speak to the supplier, Iverson’s lumber. I withheld the final payment until It was resolved, next thing I know he’s taking me to small claims court. It was nothing less than a nightmare working with this company.
