  Terrible workmanship, cut costs at all levels, used cheapest materials he could find, his subcontractros are all frauds, like himself. He lies but when confront with pictures of the violations, he keeps his mouth shut. Complaints to the State, St. Lucie County, and Indian River County, were ignore due to the extent of the corrruption. When theinspector, who approved the electrical and plumbing was asked if he was bribed, his boss, Scott McAdam refused to let him answr. When shown pictures of the violtions he approved, McAdam again intervene and refused to let him explain why he approved obvious fire violations. Trefelner belongs in jail and hopefully, that is where he is going end up along with the electrican, Edward June of Ed's Electric, out of Ft. Pierce.

  Absolutely not. He lied about the amount of insulation that was put in the attic, covered all of the pot lights with insulation when each pot light is clearly stamped not to put insulation within 3 inches of the light housing to avoid fires, hired an electrician, one Edward June, of Ft. Pierce, who screwed the bath room wall lights, four in number, directly into the wall board without using receptacle boxes, screwed the receptacles directly into the cement board in the kitchen back splash, without using receptacle boxes, used 14-2 wire in most of the circuits, did not follow the electrical plan as approved by the Building Department, Indian River County, Florida, left two (2) 120 volt live electrical lines protruding from the master bed room wall, improperly wired the master bed room fan, did not put a receptacle in the laundry room nor the attic, as required by code, failed to use a dedicated line for the refrigerator, and put to many receptacles on more than one line. Trefelner pitched the shower drains in the wrong direction so that the water collects against the back wall of the shower, and has to be removed by hand. Trefelner vented the dryer with a pipe that was to long, failed to install a booster fan and clean out in the vent pipe. The sellers, Jesse and Summer Almand, of Vero Beach Florida, lied, and failed to disclose any of the faults of the house. Both Trefelner and June refused to fix the violations and poor workmanship, and complaints to the County and State were ignored. The ironic part of this story is that Trefelner is a battalion chief of the St. Lucie County Fire District and Almand is also a St. Luce Fireman. Bottom line, avoid Trefelner Construction at all costs-he will build you a fire trap and endanger the lives of you and your loved ones.
