We signed a contract on with TriState on April 22, 2024, for a pool installation to be completed by March 2025. We specifically planned the timeline to avoid peak season delays. However, we are now months behind schedule, with no reliable end date in sight.
Despite an original start date of January 4, 2025, they delayed installation due to an internal error in ordering the pool shell, pushing the start to April 4. We were assured the project would still finish by Memorial Day (5/26), but that deadline has long passed, and the project remains incomplete. There was a scope revision in between, as the company used installation materials that were not recommended by their own crew nor the pool manufacturer.
Communication has been severely lacking, and our project manager is incredibly disorganized. Our inquiries are often ignored or met with vague statements that work will resume “in a few days.” These timelines go unfulfilled and are provided without any sufficient justification. Communicated information is quickly forgotten, requiring us to constantly audit work to ensure it meets the agreed-upon scope. In-person communications about timeline commitments are met with audible sighs and eye rolls.
We’ve witnessed repeated misinformation from our project manager, including misleading statements about subcontractor coordination, material ordering, and managerial communications. Due to his poor track record with communication and many missed deadlines, we no longer feel we can trust what is communicated to us. Unfortunately, the only number for the business leads to his cell phone, and we have been unable to contact his supervisor despite requesting it.
Other issues include industrial equipment damage to our property (fence, patio slab, and AC unit), which has yet to be resolved, and a variety of unsafe work practices.

Several unresolved issues related to the pool installation and surrounding area at my property. These concerns have been outstanding for quite a while now considering our initial contract was executed in 3Q2024 and we are now going into 3Q2025 (almost a year later) and project is NOT complete however contract specifically notes completion within 4-6 weeks.
Outstanding Issues:
1. Leak on Front Jets – There is a persistent leak in the front jets of the pool that remains unresolved. This is a significant issue that took months for your company to identify, wasting water and causing us additional cost in pool chemicals and maintenance. Your company came kept committing to coming out to perform air test and rescheduling. Finally came out July 15, 2025 to complete air pressure test and identified the leak in the front jets. The front jets have been capped off for about a month now. We were away for a week and were told the company was going to come out to fix however no call, no show. Water flow is all redirected to a single jet which we have potential concerns if this remains this way too long including strain on the equipment (increased back pressure and stress on the only jet working right now). With one jet operating, we have dead spots resulting in less water circulation in the front end of the pool, and Poor skimming since surface debris is not being pushed toward the skimmer efficiently. The pavers around the front jets popping up.
2. Broken Pavers on Patio – We had identified a low spot in the paver patio which kept holding water. Your company came out to fix however we have video from our ring cameras of the workers throwing the pavers when trying to fix the issue resulting in several pavers being cracked/broken. We were advised they would return to fix multiple times now but no call, no show as of last reschedule. I expect the paver patio to be repaired promptly.
3. Gate Lock – The lock on the pool gate is malfunctioning and does not close properly. This is a security risk that must be addressed immediately.
4. Fence Caps – Several caps on the fence are either missing. These need to be replaced to maintain the integrity and appearance of the pool area.
5. Fence Dented – We noticed that one of the fence sections are dented at the top. We have spare fence on site and expect this will be fixed.
6. Noticeable/Unsightly Glue Joints oozing out under Coping – The adhesive used to glue the coping down has clumps oozing out which impacts the appearance of the pool area. I was told the company would trim up.
Refund Request:
Additionally, I want to remind you that we paid for a waterfall rock feature that has not been installed as agreed upon in the original contract. Since this feature is missing and no clear timeline has been provided for installation, I am requesting a refund for the cost of the waterfall rock per the attached contract.
Dissatisfaction with Resolution, Scheduling, and Communication:
When we first engaged your services, we were pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness we experienced. We really had no issue with it going over the 4-6 week delivery especially understanding that pool build started in December 2, 2024 and work could be done as weather permitted.
Unfortunately, since full payments were made, the work has not been completed as agreed, and communication has noticeably dropped off, and now we are coming up to a year later.
In addition to the ongoing front jet leaks, around April the skimmer leak was identified. Your company came out to repair it, but left the pool filter set to “backwash,” which caused approximately half the pool’s water to drain out. This was not due to any action on my part, yet I had to pay $375 to have water delivered in order to refill the pool promptly.
Furthermore, from before April 2025 until the front jets were capped in July 2025, we have had to continually add water to make up for losses caused by multiple leaks.
I am also extremely dissatisfied with the scheduling and communication regarding the completion of this work. On multiple occasions, their team has scheduled visits to resolve these issues, but they have either failed to show up or provided no updates as to why the work has not been completed. This lack of follow-through is frustrating and unprofessional, and it has caused significant inconvenience.
