This company was contracted through Home Depot to install 1 interior door, 2 entry doors, and 2 security doors. They botched the installation of the security doors. The door manufacturer came out and properly installed the door on the side entrance. The front entrance was an Andersen. The door never fit properly and the locking mechanism broke about 4 times within a year. They return but none of the installers were capable of aligning it properly. After awhile they stop returning my calls, so now I'm stuck with a door that hangs improperly and drags when it closes

Terrible workmanship, Home Depot sub contracts them . They installed carpet, came four times still not right. I'll never shop at Home Depot again, they know they have this problem, just look at there reviews. No, would not recommend.

    kitchen remodel
    $30,000

I have never worked with a less competent company. Our "coordinator" Diana is so useless I can't believe she functions on any level. We took it in our own hands to coordinate contractor services after having no kitchen for two months, no timeline, no contact from the company. PLEASE do not use them or buy a kitchen from the Home Depot in Troy, as they work with United. Zero stars.

Privacy fence installation via Home Depot
    $12,500

Ultimate Home Installations aka United Home Services, contracted through Home Depot did not have the opportunity to install a privacy fence on my property. I scheduled the installation August 2015 and no one came over nor had the decency to give me a call. It was a struggle to reschedule the install and I just lost my patience. The last scheduled appointment was November 2015. I waited all day but as the weather changed, I called the company. The representative stated someone should be there shortly. Well that never happened. I immediately called Home Depot and canceled the order as well as submitted a compliant to corporate compliance. This company had the nerve to tell me over the phone the following: "You have to pay us or we can sue you!" I informed the person "Go ahead... As a matter of fact, I dare you!!" I received a call from Home Depot later that day. The representative informed me the company wanted to work out a deal with me and was I willing to let them do the fence installation. The only response that was appropriate was HELL NO!! I WANT ALL OF MY MONEY BACK AND COMPENSATION!!! Well, the short of it is, I received a letter from corporate apologizing for the inconvenience, check for the amount paid and compensation ($500 gift card). If anyone has problems with any installers, please do yourself a favor and read the fine print of the agreement. In my case, I added specifics e.g. the week the installation and when the project must be completed by (month, date, year). Since I had this written on the original agreement, I was not sued by this company. When you state such specifics and it is written on the agreement, no one can approach you that is even if they attempt to sue you.
I read through all of the complaints and it is a shame Home Depot has allowed this company to tarnish it's name. In the future, I will definitely do my research on the ratings of companies.

Like so many reviews before me.... scheduled 6 weeks in advance through Home Depot to install carpet. No show / No call the first time. Had to deal with rude and incompetent staff when I phoned to inquire where they were. No show / no call for my second install. Same rude and incompetent staff dodging my calls this time. United Home Services is a clown company operating on fringe with little experience and not nearly enough capable staff to handle its workload. But the bigger problem is that Home Depot -which actually cares about its reputation - has hitched itself to this shop. Lesson learned.

    Carpet Installation

I purchased new carpet through Home Depot back on May 14, 2017. The company that Home Depot uses for installations, United Home Services, could not get my installation scheduled for more than a month after my purchase date, After waiting more than a month, my installation was supposed to take place yesterday, June 22nd. I took a vacation day from work, and the night before we literally packed all of our living room furniture into the kitchen/dining area. They were supposed to call me between 7-10:00 am in the morning to give me an arrival time. I waited until 10:30 and then finally called, only to find out, after sitting on hold for over ten minutes, that the installer called in sick. They didn't even bother to call and tell me! If I hadn't called, I never would have known! So, they then rescheduled me for the next day (today, June 23). After taking a second vacation day, they still never called or showed up! I called twice this morning only to get the run around, and was told that I would be called back, but never was. I finally called Home Depot Corporate and gave them the entire story. I told them that if I did not have installation today that I would be cancelling my order for a full refund and taking my carpet business elsewhere. Home Depot then contacted United, who finally called me back hours later and told me that they would still have someone here to install today, but that they would have to call me back later to give me an exact time. Well....its now 5:00 of Friday and I still have heard nothing or seen no one. I refuse to take more time away from work for this, especially to only continue to be jacked around and lied to. I will be making a trip to Home Depot tomorrow to process my $2200 refund. Do not use Home Depot for installation services. Avoid United Home services by all means possible for your construction and home improvement needs!

    New carpet throughout house
    $2,500

I wish I could "0" stars. This company has absolutely no problem solving skills. They called me 30 minutes before close, the day before carpet was to be installed to cancel. I called back the next day (day of original installation) to talk to their "Flooring Expeditor", Tara. She said she would give me a call back later that week and was going to work on getting a crew to work the weekend to have it installed. Instead of pushing me out to the 29th like she originally wanted. Never got a call back and here I am on the 21st calling them again to at the very least confirm the 29th. Now the best they can do is the 11th of July. Absolutely absurd. We now plan to just cancel the install all together since no one there seems to have any problem solving skills. Unfortunate that Home Depot uses them to outsource their work.

I asked the question: So, If I were to order 5 day carpet from home depot, what would you do, since you are so backed up? Her response. "We would bump someone".. Looks like we keep getting "bumped"

    $3,700

Had tile installed in kitchen and utility room. Few of the tiles are level, I feel it every time I walk on them. Then the kicker I just discovered is that the edge trim between the tile and the existing carpet was just held up by the grout. The cement board didn't protrude far enough to support it, so the grout cracked. So, how did they fix? Put a bunch of screws at an angle under the trim and told me to try not to step on the trim. Like the crappy install was my fault somehow. Unbelievable. Never again. I have since had tile installed in another part of my house by a professional install crew. What an amazing difference.

HIRED THROUGH HOME DEPOT TO INSTALL CARPET. DID NOT CALL BETWEEN 8 AND 10 A.M. AS PROMISED. CALLED HOME DEPOT TO GET A TIME FOR INSTALLATION. SHOWED UP OVER AN HOUR LATE. NEVER EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND WHY. PUT THE DIRTY OLD CARPET PADDING ON MY NEW FURNITURE. SPOKE ONLY THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE WITHOUT SPEAKING TO US. PLAYING ON THEIR PHONES FOR WELL OVER HALF OF THE TIME THAT THEY WERE THERE. WOULD NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. EVER!

    Install kitchen countertops
    $4,000
    60 days

If I could have selected ZERO stars, I would have! My husband and I paid for countertops in January and today it's March 21, 2017 and we still don't have our countertops!!! United has rescheduled once and did an actual NO CALL NO SHOW the second time. Our initial communication with United was awful...what rude staff members they have answering the phones. It's a shame that Home Depot affiliates themselves with United because they make Home Depot look really bad! I'm begging all readers to take heed of what you read. My husband and I read all the negative reviews but still took a chance because Home Depot promised to handle any situations that could arise. Well, Home Depot is helping but so far, there isn't much they can do. So disappointed with Home Depot and so disgusted with United Home Services....

    basement flooring
    $6,500
    162 days

Like others, if I could give them 0 stars, I would. We had vinyl flooring installed in October, 2016. we noticed bumps in the flooring shortly after and after 4 months of complaints, still trying to get this corrected. If this is the only company Home Depot uses for installs, I won't use them in the future. We had new doors installed and that seemed to go well. Then had new appliances installed and currently have a dishwasher that dislodged from the countertop. The installers refused to come back out. Very incompetent and poor customer service.

    bathroom remodel

I too would give them no stars if I could. I never even got to work with this installer. I booked a bathroom remodel through Home Depot and they put me with United Home Services. The girl who called to set up the appointment was so rude that I knew right away that I would not give them a dime of my money. Judging from their other reviews and their overall rating my first impressions were right on target. Don't bother with this company.

I recently had some carpeting installed in my guest cabin by United Home Services and Home Depot. I did not experience any complications with scheduling or installation that some of the previous reviewers are claiming. I am in love with my new carpet!! I will definitely recommend them to others!!

Like so many of the other reviewers before me, United Home Services is an unprofessional, rude, and careless company that does absolutely shotty work. I paid for Quartz countertops through Home Depot and paid for them to be professionally installed. United Home Services was the company assigned to do the install in my home. Unfortunately, United has been beyond difficult to deal with from beginning to end (and I am actually not even at the end of this nightmare yet because my countertops are still not done). United does not keep to their time window of when they say they will arrive; they do not call or even call back anytime you want your questions answered about your (already paid in full for) product to be installed. From the rude and lazy receptionist on the phone to the damaged product that has been delivered now THREE times, to the actual "contractors" that come out to install the countertops, every move has been wrong, unprofessional and has made more work for myself (the customer).
United measured my countertops wrong and so when the piece was delivered and attempted to be installed, the contractor, a man named Jeremy, found out that my sink would not be able to installed because the hole cut for it was 9 inches off! Another section of countertop was chipped as well. After presenting me with these problems, Jeremy gave absolutely no resolution or apology when faced with the fact that I would be without a Kitchen sink & dishwasher for an indefinite amount of time (let alone that the product I paid for was vastly incorrect and damaged). All the contractor said was “it wasn’t his fault” over and over again. As the customer, when a mistake is made, a professional contractor would have some kind of resolution to get me through “in the meantime” while he sorted out the problem or at the very least, offer an apology for this HIGH inconvenience. Instead, I received none of that and was left without a sink for a week. From there, the only reason why it didn’t take longer than a week was because my husband and I called United every day demanding answers to when our countertops would be fixed. United never made the first move to try and right this wrong and they never even called us back each time they said they would. I am quite certain that if we hadn’t been so motivated to get our sink back again and left it up to United to set up our new install with a correctly measured and cut piece, they would have taken much longer than a week due to their unprofessionalism and extreme laziness.
After a week, Jeremy came back with the two new sections of countertop and began round #2 of installing them. Fortunately, the section around the sink was finally measured correctly and my sink would be able to fit. Unfortunately, the new section of countertop that was to replace the originally chipped and damaged piece, had an even BIGGER chip in it. Jeremy said to me “I didn’t even think to check it before bringing it in.” (Are you kidding me??) From there, he decided to leave the original piece because it had the smaller chip in it. After cleaning up, Jeremy claimed to me that he would work on getting the third section of countertop in to replace the chipped one. He then asked me to give him a good review when I received a call for one. (I almost laughed.) Finally, he presented me with his work order papers and asked me to sign them. I refused and asked, “Why would I sign your work order when this job is not done?” He responded, “Well I don’t get paid until these papers are signed and it’s not my fault that they are damaged.” I am incredulous but again I said “I will not sign anything until the work is done and I am satisfied with it. I have already paid for these countertops so what guarantee would I have that you would even get a new, undamaged section?” He repeated himself that he wouldn’t be paid and I finally said: “That’s not my problem.” He then grabbed his paperwork, shoved them into his briefcase, said “I knew I shouldn’t have come and done this today” and then stormed to my front door and literally SLAMMED it on his way out. I was left stunned at 1. His demand to try and make me sign a work order that was clearly NOT done and 2. His unprofessional behavior that he threw in front of a customer.
Unfortunately, this nightmare is still not over and even the countertops that have been installed have been done in a haphazard and sloppy way. Overall, I am not happy with the end result. I saved and paid a lot of money for my dream kitchen and the end result is not what I wanted. Throughout dealing with United, we have been in contact with Home Depot as well for help. They have been kind and professional but not very proactive either at righting the many, many wrongs that were done to their customers. I am so beyond dissatisfied and I cannot even fathom why United Home Services are still being used by Home Depot. I am disappointed and regret the decision to purchase countertops through Home Depot.

Hardwood Floor install that went soft.

Displeased in every facet of my hardwood floor installation. My project was scheduled for one week but ended up over 3 months,, yes 3 months. In that time, numerous damages were done to my walls that they denied doing in the end.
I will seek legal ramifications on this.
Do not have them do any work in your home as all has been beyond most words.

Don't go to Home Depot for installs

Ultimate Home Installations aka UNITED HOME SERVICES, the only company Home Depot uses to contract work out. One of the most displeasing companies and teams of people I have ever had to work with. The offenses range from general incompetence to downright rudeness, what should have been a 4-6 day kitchen install took about 2 1/2 months. Another team had to come in that was subcontracted who professionally and courteously did the job.

It's a shame Home Depot's business and reputation have to suffer from mere association with this company. If you have a contract job, just avoid going through Home Depot because they use this company. Save your money and future headaches.

I have had a horrible experience working with this company. Everyone was rude and inconsiderate. They did not meet deadlines and their work was inconsistent. I would not recommend them to anyone.
