    I am writing this review out of sheer disbelief and disgust at the abysmal work done by Unity Construction, headed by Shay Alon, on my neighbor's remodel. As their neighbor, I witnessed firsthand the nightmare they endured.

    To start, Shay and his crew left the house in a deplorable state. I found my neighbor's personal extension cord left out near the sidewalk overnight, exposed to the rain. Why on earth were they using the homeowner’s property and ruining it?

    It gets worse. We came across broken glass and razor blades scattered throughout the grass and driveway. I had to be extremely cautious every time I walked my dog past their house, fearing she might get injured by the hazardous debris left carelessly by the workers. It was horrifying to see my neighbors constantly cleaning up this mess whenever they visited.

    Since my neighbors were not living there during the remodel, they had to ask my husband and me multiple times to check if Shay and his crew locked the side gates and front door. There were several instances where they left the side gate and back door unlocked. This level of irresponsibility is beyond ridiculous.

    On the very first day, the demo crew arrived unprepared, without a dolly to move heavy items. My neighbors asked if we had one to lend, but we didn't. Consequently, the crew moved the appliances without proper equipment, damaging them in the process.

    Throughout the project, we saw nothing but substandard work. The flooring was a disaster—popping plywood poorly secured with a minimal amount of nails and caulking, not even glue. The windows were another catastrophe, with cracks and poorly applied caulking that could be wiped away with a finger. Unity Construction even damaged the window frames, leaving large chunks of wood exposed to the elements. Our neighbors had to hire a third party to fix the floor, siding, windows, frames, and paint job.

    Shay Alon and Unity Construction’s work was appalling, riddled with lies, negligence, and outright disrespect for the homeowner's property. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this contractor. The horror my neighbors went through should be a warning to anyone considering their services.
