A very good friend of mine offered to help me with a VERY small job: installing an air conditioner. The frame was already built, but I could not lift the air conditioner unit myself up to the window ledge. I'm a disabled 58 year old widow. This friend contracted Ken Otten on Thursday and let me know that he would call me to see when I was available. Today I finally called after no contact, and was told that "Yeah, I told your friend that I was going to make it out today, but i can't seem to find any of my guys to make it out. We might be out there tomorrow, or maybe Wednesday." I asked him why he didn't call, that while I understand that this was a very small job, still, I thought protocol and professionalism would be to make sure the home owner was going to be available. He hung up on me saying "I don't need a lecture"
Seriously disappointed that I waited three days (not counting the weekend, because even tho he told my friend he was going to call on Saturday, I didn't expect him to actually show up on Saturday) only to be treated like an inconvenience. I would never refer this business.

I had talked with a few different contractors in Vancouver to get some work done at my house, nothing major just some painting in a few room and the hallway and stairs, 2 new toilets and bathroom lights, a fan in my liviling room, and a couple of over head lights though out the house. I have a bounce room that was never finish so I had Vanport finish it up by putting up the wood trim around the room and running some AV wires for the TV and sound system in the walls. They refinished my deck and widened my stairs going down to the yard.
All in all I was very impressed with the professionalism of the guys doing the work, they worked around me and my family and cleaned up as the work was done. Very friendly and knowledgeable guys and I would recommend this company to any one.
