Mr Vergis built a deck at our home in 2009. It is falling apart! Many things were not done properly. Front posts only in the ground 6 inches and could be pulled out by hand. Trex composite decking was used but not enough supports causing the deck to sink in the middle. Frame and joists were supposed to be pressure treated and were not causing the wood to rot. Stairs not installed properly and falling off. Railing leaning 4 inches due to rotten wood. We paid over $7,000 for the deck and now have to have it rebuilt. Stay far away from this incompetent company!

I hired John Vergis in 2011 from Tom Martino’s website to remodel my two bathrooms. I’m now having to have the plumbing work he did redone to prevent further leaking behind my dry wall. Cutting into the dry wall to reach the fittings that need to be replaced.
When I had problems in 2011 with some of the work that he did he said he would gladly redo the work but never followed up on doing the work.
John walked off the job at the time after I foolishly paid him in full so he could pay his workers. He never came back. Bad on me. He does shoddy work but talks a good game. If I had my way he would be in jail.
When I contacted Tom Martino at the time they seemed to be more interested in protecting John than believing me and my documentation. They eventually took him off their website but did little to help correct the poor work that he did. Needless to say I don’t recommend Tom Martino either.
