This builder started out like a reputable builder, but by the end of the process it was very unpleasant. He had 2 sub par subs (painter and AC sub) and didn't like it when I made him correct their work. He was always trying to control things almost like (how I interpreted it) being paternalistic. He tried to talk me out of building the fireplace in my home (I didn't budge). I don't think he is a higher end builder. I think there was a cash flow problem possibly because his schedule was out of sync and he was slow at times. I was paying cash too so the draws were always available to him relatively quickly. Maybe he was doing some juggling or something. I am thinking he is more of a cookie cutter type home builder.
