Terry was a sub-contractor for my bathroom and kitchen remodel. Communication with Terry was incredibly frustrating from the beginning. He was not very responsive and wouldn’t really answer questions directly. His time management is incredibly poor due to being extremely over extended. He said at one point that projects were “first in, first out.” I did not find this to be the case at all. More likely he used that as an excuse because he forgot about parts of the project. Project completion milestones would come and go with NO communication. For example, he had asked to come over on Christmas Eve to finish my kitchen cabinets. We agreed that he would come in at 10am for 4hrs of work and that would conclude the project. He showed up an hour and a half late while his assistant on the project, who was on time, was waiting for him in my driveway. When he did finally show up, he worked for just over an hour and then left. It took another 2 weeks for the project to be complete. One of the items in my project did not get put into the bid despite there being SEVERAL conversations about it starting in August. It is now April and it still has not been delivered. He tells me that it is at the finishers and will be available in a week. He has been telling me this for months now. He was trying to be nice and “gift” it to me, but all that has done is given him zero reason to follow through with finishing the project. The people who hire him continue to make excuses for him so nothing improves. Basically, it boils down to communication and following through on promises. Terry is woefully inadequate in both of these areas. While the end product was fine, the headache and frustration in getting that product left an incredibly sour taste in my mouth. I understand that everyone in the construction field is currently over worked and all booked up. That doesn’t excuse the lack of basic business etiquette. I can’t, in good faith recommend Terry for projects. Save yourself the inconvenience and look elsewhere.
