A couple months ago I had the good fortune to be handed a business card by Elandon Washburn while at the PRO desk at Home Depot in Sequim inquiring about some extensive deck demo and replacement I needed.
I followed up a few days later. Shortly after our initial contact Elandon submitted a detailed bid after looking at the job, reviewing a primitive sketch I had drawn, and some dialogue about the job. His estimate was so reasonable that we (my wife and I) ask Elandon to resubmit his bid to include another smaller failing deck (6' x 8'). Again the bid was very reasonable...He got the Job!!
Both decks had their challenges, but the larger deck (14' X 20') had set of stairs off of the east side to an elevated gazebo deck and a long ramp off of the south side.
Elandon took all of this in stride...Demo'd both decks, removed and disposed of all the rubble, replaced both decks with TREX decking of our choice plus replaced the entire substructures of both decks (raised foundation supports), arranged for all of the materials needed, the delivery of the materials and return of the unused materials. And also added a sitting bench along the south side of the larger deck and replaced the first two steps on the gazebo stairs.
In addition, he precut several pieces I needed to add a step to the smaller deck at no additional cost.
His work, attention to detail, his professional attitude was all from a scale of 1 to 10...12++A++...!!!
