We had this company out last year to install tile in our master shower, bathroom floor and vanity. I was disappointed in the amount of dust we were left with, especially when James said he would tape everything off so that wouldn't happen. Kind of a given though, since the air was running and he didn't have the bathroom fan running. I had a few issues that needed addressing and he finally came back and fixed them.
We decided to have him come back out a few months ago to change out our tile floors throughout the house, make a tile vanity in the middle bath and make tile backsplashes in the kitchen areas. Once again, the dust was terrible, despite the fact that this time he had a new vacuum fan thing that was supposed to move most of the dust outside. There were issues with the entire vanity top he installed...cracks, sharp edges that needed sanding down and multiple grout touch ups on the floors, counter and backsplashes. He came to see what needed to be done, did not have any supplies with him and said either he or his friend would be back to finish the job the following week. Two months, multiple phone calls (unanswered) and text messages and still the job is not complete.
Overall, the tile job was good, but I guess he doesn't believe in service after the sale. My opinion is that when he gets close to being finished, he has already moved on to the new job and just wants "out of there".
The other problem is that when he gives you an estimate for the job, he forgets to mention that he can't move/disconnect certain appliances. We had to have a plumber and the gas company come out, also, which wasn't cheap. If he can't do these things, fine, but just be up front about it so people can figure those things into the price.
There won't be a third time, James. We're very disappointed.
