  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We hired Thrifty Gypsy LLC, Whitney Raifsnider in August 2021 to re-do our kitchen at the end of January 2022. We paid a nice size deposit via check in August 2021, that was promptly cashed. We bought all new appliances, a sink, vent hood to prepare for January 2022, which is now taking up room in our garage. At the end of Dec, she informed me that I'd need to find someone to do our flooring, because after our reno, she "was changing directions with her business". So I had to rush around to try to find a flooring person asap. Then about a week into January 2022, I received a text from Whitney saying in a nutshell she "has no money, her business is upside down and she had to leave the state and doesn't know when she can return and that she wants to make payments to us." I told her we're not accepting payments that our deposit would need to be repaid to us in full via certified check before 2/2/2022 or else I'd be filing a police report. I kindly gave her a month to repay us back and instead I got 2 excuses for not being able to repay our deposit. It's now 2/3/2022 and I don't have re-payment. I have everything saved and thankfully we communicated only via text messages.

  kitchen remodel

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They were hired back in may 2019 to redo our kitchen and it has been an absolute nightmare working with them. They never showed up on time, nor is our kitchen even finished. Sometimes she didn't even show up when she said she was going too. Whitney's company is very unprofessional and takes advantage of people. When hired she said she had a small crew, well they don't exist. It is literally her and her boyfriend. Whitney lied to me on multiple occasions and can not be trusted. We had new cabinets added to expand our kitchen, and Whitney lied to us multiple times when are doors were suppose to arrive. She took our money but has not completed the job. We have multiple screws that are missing out of the hardware of our hinges for our doors, screws are falling out because she cracked the wood on our cabinet doors as well. Painting is unfinished, the toe kick under our cabinets does not extend to where it should, the paint on our cabinet doors is chipping because there is no protective coating, we have a door that is hanging on by one hinge, we had a draw that COLLASPED on my 3 year old's hand while she was trying to get a spoon out. We have backsplash that was left unfinished, a random screw that put in next to one of our draws, nails sticking out of our cabinets in the inside, we had our soffit extended and we were left with an unsmooth surface. She has her boyfriend working with her, and to my knowledge i am not aware that he is even licensed to be doing so. our kitchen sink is not sealed properly as well. Whitney has not been back to my house since June 8, 2019. While also at our house she STOLE one of my husbands power tool batteries and still has it in her possessions. my husband had his items in a separate pile on our table so not sure how you "accidently" take it. Whitney was made aware when the draw collapsed on my daughters hand and when the door broke and had said she would be back asap to fix them well that was 9 weeks ago. Do not use them for any type of work in your house. The work is poor quality and they will steal your money and not complete the job. She admitted she lied to me about ordering my custom cabinet doors, i was told they would be in may 30, they were supposedly only ordered on June 7. Well obviously they were never ordered because i still do not have cabinet doors on them.

  Whitney said via text message and i quote " i just ordered, them the money has been coming in and going back out just as quickly. That's why we had to start other jobs. "
  me " i thought they were suppose to come in this past Thursday" ( meaning may 30th, 2019)
  Whitney " i dropped the ball. i apologize"
  me " i don't understand why you lied to me though. i have been waiting to move back in once those doors were in that's what i have been waiting for. i sent you almost 8,400 (should have said 7,934) so far i don't understand why they weren't purchased with that
  Whitney " i truly understand. I'm in debt out of my ears and although its no reason to lie, its shameful. i should have been honest with you from the start and I'm sorry. "

  This conversation was held via text message and i still have the whole conversation as well. my money that was paid to her was obviously not used for my kitchen she took my money and used it elsewhere. Do not trust this business. This was suppose to be a 2 week job, and here we are the end of august and i still have an uncompleted kitchen. Their reviews are poor for a reason, trust the reviews and run away from using this company.

  I could not be more disappointed in this company. The person who grouted our backsplash admitted to us that it was his 1st time doing it and it shows. It is uneven and there is grout all over the tiles. Also, the backsplash was grouted too soon after the new granite countertops were installed. They were not covered and now there is grout IN the granite that is unable to come out. Per their granite supplier, they need to be replaced. However, we have been unable to get Whitney to come out and see it or schedule replacement. Additionally, our new hardwood floors were damaged as they made no effort to protect them while doing the work. Despite numerous requests, Whitney still hasn't come out to see the "finished" product since this was done in June 2017. She always has an excuse as to why she can't come. This company has been a nightmare to work with and we are out thousands of dollars and left with a kitchen that needs major repairs. The company blocked my on facebook so I couldn't leave a review. Per google, it appears this has happened before as well. Do not use this company is you want quality work and good communication.
