  My wife and I hired Yard Birds in 2021 after meeting owner Brandon Rekemeyer. He gave us locations of job sites, and after driving past a several of their job sites locally, and hearing a recommendation from a friend, we liked what we saw and heard, and hired Yard Birds for an extensive lawn, landscaping, and tree removal job on our property. Brandon even allowed me to do some of the work myself, and when I punctured a drain on my property that I was unaware of (oops) Brandon recommended that we pull up the whole pipe and replace it. Brandon replaced the pipe and installed it and didn’t charge me an extra penny for my mistake that cost his time. Brandon and his crew finished the job to our satisfaction, and beyond. Two years later in 2023 we hired Yard Birds again to do a makeover on our pond. This required more large tree removal, much excavator work, and great skill in shaping the outer edge of our 1/2 acre pond into a heart shape (I know, cheesy:). I am personal friends with the owners of two equipment rental places that Yard Birds uses regularly, and both have great working relationship with Brandon and his company. I would recommend Brandon and Yard Birds to anyone interested in professional and highly experienced work.

  We hired Brandon Rekemeyer and his company Yardbirds to rebuild our pond and island that was in real bad shape. He was within our budget of $50k. Our property sold for almost double the value we paid for it after owning it for only four years. The buyers said that the pond was what really caught their eyes and sealed the deal. Thanks again Yardbirds!

  Landscape overhaul

  Yardbirds has been adding beauty to our property ongoing for several years now. Brandon is creative and dedicated to completing his work with great detail. His price is generally lower than competing bids and he sticks to his original quote unless we add work to the scope. I would highly recommend!

  excavate and build faondation for a shop

  Our experience with Yardbirds, specifically, Brandon Rekemeyer was costly and unsatisfactory. We entered into a fixed bid contract with Brandon Rekemeyer (Yardbirds). The scope of the work was clearly defined and the dollar amount of the contract agreed upon. The quality of the work he completed was very poor (some of which had to be reworked at our expense) and he failed to see the job through to completion. He walked off the job without completing the work and refused to respond to our communications in an effort to resolve the situation. We sued Yardbirds for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and claim against bond. His insurance company paid a substantial amount of money to settle the matter out of court. I would not recommend this person to anyone.
