Never deal with contractor. Never! here is the story: the agreement for a big project was signed and prepayment of $13.5K was collected, and the project supposed to be started in 5 months later. After 5 months passed I called to ask if the windows were delivered, it was said Yes, they are almost done. That's all. That was the beginning of few months of delays, excuses, lies. After 3 months of constant excuses I requested to cancel the project. It was accepted. Pretty easy cancellation, which was suspicious, because if he placed an order 4 months ago for the custom windows, where will he use them? Well, I cannot get my money back. He says the check will be delivered...but, again, constant delays and excuses! Now I have to hire a lawyer to get my money from this contractor.
