Tell us about the last project you worked on, in as much detail as possible.

Large masonry repair project on 3 flagstone walkways around a large home. Approximately 600sqft. Replace broken stones as needed and replace all mortar joints.

Houston is a tough climate to provide HVAC solutions within. It’s hot. It’s humid. Air conditioners run constantly… Does it have to be this way? No. Home builders have no clue how to design and optimize a HVAC system in Houston’s hot and humid environment. They generally stick to the book of Manual J, which is a manual that describes how to ‘properly’ size HVAC equipment to it’s residential application. This book is useless when it comes to Houston HVAC. Every new home builder follows these Manual J rules, but not us. We are Houston natives and have been providing local Houston HVAC solutions for over 30 years, we are license #9265, and at this current date there are already Texas HVAC license numbers well over 80,000. Our last project dealt with a home that was of course designed around the Manual J by a builder 15 years ago. A 2300 square foot home with only 4 tons of cooling capacity. This is just outrageous in our eyes when it comes to proper HVAC in Houston.
Is it done by the book? Yes.
Is it done properly? No. Not in Houston.
Builders also provide the bare minimum return air vents in a home described in the Manual J book, this home had 2, and they we’re both located upstairs… The client was complaining all 3 of his daughters constantly had hot rooms… And this is such a common complaint in Houston… And it’s all because the bare minimum described in the Manual J of air conditioning is useless in Houston.

Return air vents (the vents you change the filter in every month, hopefully) REMOVE heat out of a home or HVAC application… HVAC is all about removing heat, especially in Houston where there is a lot of heat… So every room (where applicable) needs a return air vent to remove heat from the room, this is especially true in bedrooms, where people keep doors closed, run computers, sleep, and watch televisions. This doesn’t apply to bathrooms or kitchens because of air quality issues. But how many homes have you seen in Houston where every bed room has a return air grille? Our last project involved installing 2 new 3.5 ton HVAC systems in a home, one system for upstairs, one system for downstairs, and adding return air vents in every bedroom, problem solved for a total of $12,200 with WIFI thermostats so they can constantly monitor the home’s temperature and humidity, get alarms if something isn’t working properly, change the temperature from anywhere, and see their new system’s energy usage and how 2 new 3.5 ton systems is going to cost less to operate in Houston than a 4 ton system that constantly runs, day in and day out, and never provides results…

The last project we worked on was a beautiful beach oasis in Kahala. The homeowner was adding second floor to her house which gave her sweeping ocean views from her bedroom, bath and lanai. We also had an amazing opportunity to show off our craftsmanship and build a grand two tone spiral staircase. We installed 9ft koa curved doors leading out to her lanai, we converted 100 year old African storyboard doors into sliding barn doors. Everything, in this home was custom and high end. It was a great project, and we loved being able to use our creativity.

We are busy lol. We sometimes put on 5 roofs in a single day.
I recently was called to out to inspect a roof because lots of neighbors were getting a new roof. There roof was no different than the others, the hail was pretty bad, so I assisted while they called their insurance company to come out and look at the roof. The next morning, I met with their adjuster, we got on the roof together, observed the damage and the roof was recommended a full replacement within 15 minutes. The adjuster missed a lot of additional damages to the home including gutter, fascia, and siding damages. Once I pointed all of this out, the adjuster paid to replace everything accordingly, which made the homeowner very happy for my efforts and knowledge.
The roof was replaced immediately, along with all of the other trades within a total of 2 weeks behind the roof work. We handled all of the paperwork for the homeowner (in a timely manner mind you) and were able to close the claim quickly making it a nice and painless process.
After the work was complete, I informed the homeowner that they could go to their insurance agent with all of the claim documents and get their home reassessed to ultimately lower their monthly premium which also made them very happy. And finally I educated the homeowner on an energy efficiency program offered by their local energy company that would pay 100% to completely re-insulate their home and check all of their HVAC duct work.

These people were very pleased and continue shelling my name out in means of referrals, and that’s what keeps us so busy.
Thanks,

Just wrapped up a 450 sqft master bedroom, master bathroom addition, change of layout, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, electrical update, plumbing tankless water heater installation. This project started from design and blue prints. The complete transformation of this beach bungalow transformed the lives of the family, they added more room, reconfigured the layout of the house to utilize a modern open living room concept. Master bathroom, a pre-fabricated kitchen that looks and feels like the custom kitchen, complete electrical upgrade, plumbing upgrade, etc.

We built a 3900 square foot addition, that included a custom curved wood staircase, that was laid up one layer at a time, 15 layers per side. Totally awesome. Additionally, built a custom brick fireplace that is a show stopper. We pay attention to details, no other way to make an addition look like a turn of the century home in 2017, and we mean the 1900’s as the turn of the century.

Demolition: remove old counter tops and install new granite countertops for a regular client

We built a new custom home in Deerfield over the course of 8 months . We started with an undeveloped piece of land and ended up with an amazing property: 4000 SqFt house + finished basement + 2 car attached garage+ extensive hardscape and landscaping. It’s a great feeling when everything comes together towards one goal and when the is house is finally finished and ready for a new family to call it “home”

Did all the flooring and bathrooms in a 3500 sqft house last year. Bathrooms and hallways were all travertine in 2 colors with accents in glass tile. All rooms were glued bamboo. Included cleanup and hauling away of debris. Very fun project and homeowner was amazed at how the work transformed the space

The last project was building Korean coffee franchise in multiple locations concurrently. Since the tenant only gets certain amount of time of free lease during the construction from the landlord, time is of the essence. Since they were franchises, there were certain designs to follow, and make sure we do not deviate. However, communication with the corporation that never has opened a store in America was not easy, especially when they do not have any idea how the permit processes work. As a general contractor, we coordinated very well from the design phase to the finish, and all the stores were able to open in time for business.

the last project was a beautiful 3 family new construction. with all high end finishes from floor to ceiling

My last project was a commercial office building needing my company to work at night and have it done in 30 days no one wanting the pressure ,we took the job and got done in 21 days and they where delighted with the work and was so happy we was able to work night shift so they would not have downtime.

I worked on a tiny home that measured 8’ x 8’ x 20’ long. It was nice working for someone that appreciated good work and he wanted me to take extra time that he wanted to pay for to make it waterproof and durable as possible. He was very happy at the end of the job and it looked very nice!

Did whole house remodel, bathroom, floors, windows, remove wall and install beam for bearing wall… Explained to the customer as the job progressed what was to happen and when we would Finnish.
