We bought a home with a big backyard problem. The ground was uneven and the grading of the back yard caused water to be directed toward our home. We called out several contractors. Our job was either too big, too small, or not a project they would normally do. The ones willing to do the job were either too expensive, too inexperienced, or had plenty of experience with low prices but the wait time of several months was unreasonable.
When I found A & S Grading they were willing to come and give me an estimate the next day. Anna in the office is very friendly and helpful. The guys came out and gave a very reasonably priced estimate. We discussed a few issues. I could tell they were experienced and had the knowledge to point out potential problems that we were having with the project so we could discuss them.
The estimate they gave was fair and not overpriced. We emailed them to set up a day to do the job and we were able to set up a time that worked well for us. That day they were prompt and friendly. They got to work right away. It was a hot day over 100degrees, but that didn't seem to slow them down. They leveled out the yard in a horse shoe fashion so that the water will drain properly on each side. They even removed a bush and a tree for us while they were at it per our request of course!
We were impressed with this company and I think if you hire them you will be too!
I would have left an overall rating of 5 stars but I am still waiting for them to fix a very small area we noticed later after they left that we'd like to have corrected. Overall though a great company.
