DO NOT HIRE STEVE DUFFER / ABR !!!
He took our deposit of $2,500 for a bathroom remodel and found every excuse possible to not show up. Had to see a lawyer, in court, sick/hung over, etc. He does not answer his texts or phone calls. He did not do2 minutes of work to earn that money and we are desperate retired teachers who need it back!!!

Steve Duffer ripped us off. $6,000 and he couldn’t even vacuum the floor. When called out he said “What, do you want me to go run the shop vac around?” At the end of our interaction I was willing to light $2,000 on fire just to get him to leave. I hope’d he would die before ever cashing our check. He failed to close out the job by putting pine boards over drywall corners. He loosely installed picture framing instead of window casing. He didn’t square the walls or headers he installed. He blamed his lack of attendance on his worker ‘Mike’ whom Steve claimed he fired after Mike took all of Steve’s tools. Steve then brought Mike back to my house after many days without service and Mike claimed to have never been fired a day in his life. Steve was notified of the the possibility of a lie and claim his worker was lying to me. Steve tried to swindle an additional %10 out of our final check however he was too incompetent to provide actual receipts for the materials he claimed he used. Steve instead provided me receipts for the materials he included in the contract and eventually told me he was unwilling to argue. Steve is a horrible human being who will receive the wrath of Hell on his soul. I hope no person ever again endures Steve’s incompetency nor suffers his victimology.
