BEWARE!! DAMAGED OUR HOUSE SO BADLY THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY WAS COMPROMISED AND GHOSTED US WITH $17,000 OF OUR MONEY. I really don’t know where to start with this review. We hired Allan’s remodeling to renovate our master bath. He hired unlicensed plumbers he had never worked with before to do the plumbing and did not check in on them for 2 weeks. When we demanded he come see the lack of progress they had made and the literal entire chunks of support beams they chopped up he brought in a different plumber and assured us what we saw was normal. At this point Allan had asked for $17,000 of the total payment. Allan, the owner himself, did the electric and carpentry work. Again assuring us everything was going as planned. When it came for our first inspection we failed every portion- plumbing, electrical, and building. We failed THEM ALL so badly that the town refused to return for further inspections until a licensed contractor, licensed electrician, licensed plumber, and even a licensed architect all took over. Allan’s team butchered my home so badly that we needed a licensed architect to draw out the new team’s plan to prove it was structurally safe. The thought that Allan was just going to keep going hoping no one noticed and jeopardize my home and family’s safety makes me sick. We had previously had several conversations with Allan about our concerns of him being over his head with this project and time passing with our project not making any progress and offered him an out at each conversation if he felt he wasn’t up for the remodel. At this point we had no choice but to fire him as the town was requiring licensed workers and we clearly could not trust him to complete any job. The night we had our last in person conversation Allan signed a statement agreeing to refund $10,000 of the $17,000 we paid him. I want to make it completely clear that not a single part of what he or his team did was useable or safe. We now had to find someone else to not only redo each step of the electric, plumbing, and carpentry but completely replace all of the multiple support beams that were now destroyed as well. We have tried to communicate with Allan every few weeks since then with only once getting a response- he acknowledged the refund agreement but said he didn’t have the money. We asked multiple times for him to come up with a payment plan that he could handle with no response. We will now have to sue him after giving him since November 2022 (now Feb 2023) without any form of communication or plan to refund the previously agreed upon amount. Please please do your homework, read the multiple bad reviews, and don’t hire Allan’s remodeling. I have cried so many times over this nightmare and truly just want to spare anybody else from having to go through this.
