A few months ago we lost all water pressure. I determined myself that the pump motor was running but there was nevertheless no pressure. I figured that the connection between the motor and pump was faulty. I called around and the only response I got was from B&W Pumps. I told the guy that showed up what I thought the problem was but he was determined to find out for himself what was really going on. I had the feeling that he thought I probably didn't know what the problem was. With good reason. I am not a well driller or a well pump installer. Anyway, the man that showed up tried everything to show that it was something that could be taken care of above ground. He did not try to sell me stuff I did not need. So I had to get a new pump and motor. The interface between the two had failed. The 4 nuts that held the motor to the pump were gone. They had obviously vibrated off after 20 odd years, which caused the splines in the pump motor interface to wear away. But I guess I buried the lead. And this is the excellent performance of B&W Pump Company. I called them in the morning. They showed up in the afternoon that same day and diagnosed the problem. Then they made time the next day to pull the old pump and motor and install a new pump and motor. So we were really without water for only a couple of days. I am truly impressed with their service.
