Vinyl Siding Beware: Bella Home Improvements
If you’re considering hiring Bella Home Improvements, I strongly urge you to think twice. My experience has been both costly and deeply frustrating.
After my review below, is Certainteed's inspection results that lists all installation errors by Brad and Team, at Bella Home Improvements (I have Certainteed's photos too, ping me for them), that are now causing many issues.
Also below my review, is Bella Home Improvements' sign with its misleading and false claims of being a 5-Star Vinyl installer for Certainteed's vinyl siding.
My Review of Bella Home Improvements:
In the summer of 2024, I hired Bella Home Improvements to replace the vinyl siding on my home. The previous siding job (done before I purchased the house) was a disaster—no window caulking, improper installation, and significant water damage as a result.
When the old siding came off, the damage underneath was extensive. Brad, the owner of Bella Home Improvements, quoted $18,000 for the new siding, and an additional $10,000 to remove and replace damaged materials with plywood in preparation for the install.
While the house initially looked great, issues quickly surfaced over the winter. Sections of siding began to warp and cave in. I reached out to Brad, who first blamed the issue on “uneven walls.” When I reminded him that he had installed all-new plywood, he inspected further, and conceded the walls were, in fact, straight. Brad then suggested the issue was defective vinyl siding = Brad advised me to contact CertainTeed, the manufacturer - for whom Brad is a “5-Star” rated contractor.
CertainTeed sent out an inspector. The inspector found multiple installation errors, which I won’t list here in full—I’ve attached CertainTeed’s report (below). I sent these findings to Brad.
His response? He first claimed he had gotten the inspector fired - a claim CertainTeed (Delia) confirmed to be false. Then, over the following weeks, Brad repeatedly delayed any resolution, and ultimately refused to accept responsibility.
In repeated conversations with CertainTeed (first Zachary, then Delia, and Tom - from Warranty and Tech), al representatives noted Bella Home Improvements is NOT 5-Star Certified for vinyl siding.
When I told Brad I was considering leaving negative reviews, he responded, twice by threatening “things will get very ugly for you if you do."
Since then, more siding has come off, revealing no vapor barrier was installed in some areas—something that should have been standard. I’ve attached photos showing this as well.
Final Thoughts:
I’ve attached manufacturer’s inspection to support everything above. I also have video of my interactions with Brad, which speak volumes about his professionalism—or lack thereof.
If you’re considering hiring Bella Home Improvements, I strongly urge you to think twice. My experience has been both costly and deeply frustrating.
