Inexperienced carpenters. As a GC, project was mishandled. Did not take notes for changes or requests. 3 month project lasted 2 years. Did not pay his subcontractors on time. Did not know how to run a project as a general contractor even though he worked with an architect's plans. Would never recommend HIM for ANY GC job. His BBB rating went from an A+ to C+. His complaints were not resolved.

Do NOT hire this person unless you want your money to disappear. I hired this man to do a dormer for my home. He ended up taking my deposit of over 5000 and did nothing. He kept putting blowing me off for months and months until I finally told him I wanted my money back. He then told me he was going to pull a permit. This was after more than a year of pulling teeth. I no longer wanted him working for me so I called the building dept and told them not to issue him a permit. I never got my money back and I took him to small claims court. They demanded he give me my money back, which he never did. He never showed up on the last day of court when he was supposed to provide the court with all of his financial docs. At one court date he did give me a check for 250.00, but I now know it was only to make the judge believe that he would come through with the rest of the money. He never did. I was issued an order and was told to bring it to the constable so that he could attach his property. I went to the Registry of Deeds and found that he had two 40,000.00+ liens against him by a local business. I also believe that there were 5 tax liens against him from the state. I believe there was also a lien against him by a past customer. I filed with the state Guarantee Program, and I am waiting to get some type of compensation back from them. They said not would not be for a few years, though. In addition, the designer he had do my plans was useless. I had 2 other architects and 2 contractors as well as a structural engineer look at the plans who all said the plans were a useless bunch of cut and paste. Needless to say, I was out the money for those plans, as well. His name was New England Home Designs in Monson, MA. BEWARE of these businesses.
