Chris Garbe is very dishonest. He just finished my kitchen and he charged me 4 times the amount that he had initially quoted me; not twice as much, not 3 times as much, but 4 times! His love of money is pathological (and I know what I am talking about: I am a psychologist). Most of us earn money to live, Chris lives for money, and this sickly love makes him make very unethical decisions that are all geared to take your money. He devised a trick with his painter so that he does not appear so: his painter would say: look, Chris, this wall is full of painting mistakes, this needs to be repaired. You fall in the trick, and here you go, $900 in Chris’ pocket in one day, and the result is worse than a room that was painted only 2 weeks before by someone else. He charged me $10,000 to put a floor in the kitchen and a bedroom. He probably thought he was putting gold on the floor instead of simple planks of vinyl. Finally, I am the mother of a heavily handicapped son and he took 2 closet doors off and left the closets without doors for 6 months when one is a medicine cabinet and this child gets into everything and Mr. Garbe left once I paid him (because he asked to be paid before he finished the job) without putting the new doors on, therefore putting the life of this child in danger. This last detail by itself shows the immorality, unprofessionalism and lack of ethical values of Mr. Garbe which he hides very well behind a suave appearance. Stay away, ladies and gentlemen!
