By Leif J.October 7, 2021Subcontracted through Lowes to install fence
Absolute worst company ever. So incredibly unprofessional. Lowe’s subcontracted them for a fence we bought. Took forever to schedule with them. Had materials sitting in my driveway for three weeks. Missed two appts they scheduled, then lied and claimed Lowe’s had sent wrong material so they couldn’t work on the fence on the third day they scheduled. Got flagged on all four tier levels from Lowe’s. Their receptionist literally tried to blame it all on her getting the second dose of the vaccine when she was scheduling third appt. Stay away from them. They left holes all over my yard, they unwrapped and opened all materials even though they never installed anything.

Horrible experience with cmac. The owner Dave Only cares about himself and his money. Their installers have no training. Nor do they have the much needed experience to be out installing. Fences are not cheap! Definitely wouldn't trust cmac to do any work at my home. Absolutely not a company i want doing any of my jobs at mine or my families houses. BEWARE!!!

I only gave them 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. Bare with me because this is LONG. Unfortunately CMAC was hired by Lowes to do our fence. Had I had a chance to look at their reviews ahead of time they would not have done anything for us. It looks like CMAC has done a lot of work to try to hide bad reviews and funny thing is the few good reviews actually came from people they know...one being someone they hired to come fix what they screwed up so bad (which still isn't fixed and is actually worse than how they left it). Communication with CMAC had been dreadful from the beginning. Constant excuses to why they no showed appointments, including supposedly needing more materials (which were ordered twice and still in the packaging on our driveway). They blamed Lowes and Lowes blamed them...I imagine the truth is somewhere in the middle so this review is solely on their performance at this point. They were supposed to start installing our fence on April but didn't show up until July. After several excuses and delays on their end they finally "finished" mid July. The finished product is included in the pictures. We were left with posts with adhesive dripping halfway down the posts, top rails not secured, gate on the right side crooked and damaged (you can see on video all 3 of the installers looking at it and walking away leaving it as is), materials used were so scuffed up and trashy looking from sitting in our driveway since January waiting for them to start, they filled all of our trash and recycling cans instead of hauling away their debris and what didn't fit they left tossed around our driveway and neighbors yard. It took WEEKS to get Dave to come out to look at the job we were left with. Dave claimed to agree it wasn't okay and stated he was ordering materials to make it right. He sent the same crew back to our home who then told us we could have just "popped in some screws ourselves to secure the top rails" and that the gate was crooked because we "used it too soon" (note the video i have of them seeing it is crooked and leaving it). They then "fixed" the adhesive drippings by scraping it off along with the vinyl, damaging all of the posts more than they were. Dave comes back again and says he is ordering more materials to make it right and we would hear from him in a week. We waited 3 weeks before reaching out again and he acted as if he didn't remember what our concerns were and when we reached out to Lowes they said no materials were ordered and CMAC closed out the tickrt reporting the job was complete. So they reopen the ticket. Weeks go by again and we get a call from someone stating they were from a different company that was hired by Dave to come fix CMACS mess. The new installer came out and had to leave because Dave hadn't disclosed just how much work needed to be done and none of it was a quick fix. This company comes back the next week and claimed to have fix what they could but couldn't make the repairs they thought necessary because "Dave signs their checks and Dave said the issues just weren't that important." No one has called from CMAC to see if we are satisfied with the job. Lowes has since come out and determined they will have to now hire a 3rd contractor (side note that apparently CMAC did not disclose to Lowes that they hired someone else to fix their mistakes) to redo our fence. Save yourself the headache and stay away from these people. Another side note...they are also on the BBB with a C+ rating with a note that says they are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. If you read other reviews you will see they have a blanket statement blaming COVID. We took COVID into consideration which is why we have been more than patient considering we purchased our fence in November of last year. COVID has zero to do with poor workmanship and work ethic.
