Beware: Comfort Maker LLC , Aquebogue, NY is not licensed HVAC contractor in Suffolk County.
At the same time of the fall 2021 service, I asked Mr. Anthony (Tony) Scott for an estimate on a small job to move a humidifier control to a different location that would be more accessible. He quoted me what I felt was a fair price. He told me to call his cell directly next week to schedule the job. I did so, and Mr. Scott set up a morning date for the following week. Mr. Scott never showed and never called. When contacted his response was that he forgot about it and couldn’t get to me that day. He scheduled another appointment with me for the next week. Again, he didn't show or have the courtesy to call me to say he couldn’t make it. I then called his daughter the Office Manager for Comfort Maker LLC who stated that when her father makes appointments directly, he often doesn’t write them down or inform the office for scheduling. I was put on hold and rescheduled again for the following week. For the 3rd time in a row Tony did not show or call. Multiple further attempts to reach either the office or Tony went unanswered and were ignored.
The behavior of this business is inexcusable and shows no customer retention skills. I worried that if my heating/cooling/hot water systems has a problem, this business will not provide the service I’ve paid for per my service contract or even answer my phone calls. Comfort Maker has made it impossible for me to use their services due poor customer service and complete customer avoidance. Do not use this company. The fact that they are unlicensed and have a number of complaints (call Suffolk County Consumer Affairs, YELP, etc.)against them should be a big red flag.
PS: I did request in writing a partial refund of the cost of the annual service contract which I received.

One of the worse mistakes was to hire Tony (the owner) and his crew, they installed a new central heating and air conditioning in our home, the unit upstairs has not worked and continues to not work, the materials he used said not for heating when we asked him to replace them he replaced them with cheap piping, horrible service, completely unreliable, absolutely a disappointment. I do not recomes this business and will never ever recommend it. Every time you contact him somehow a member of his family died or is very sick, we understand things happen but also when you start a job you must finish it as a professional, however not surprised since he is not a professional. We still are finding things he didn’t do right, including filters, he installed our units with no fielders??? That’s just crazy! That’s the reason why I decided to finally post this review so that nobody else will fall in his trap or this company’s trap.
