Honest and forthright are the two best words to describe Victor Scott Nordvik.
My wife and I wanted to build a home for our retirement. I heard many anecdotes about horrible experiences with contractors so I decided to enroll in CCSF's Construction Management program. As I learned more about construction, I realized that I do not have the necessary experience to build my own home. I absorbed construction theories, principles and building codes well enough but I did not have the experience, practical skills and proper connections with sub-contractors. I realized that building my own home will be a financial disaster and problematic. I completed the course knowing that I will need an experienced contractor to build our retirement home.
Cyncon Construction (Scott) was referred to us by a family friend who were highly satisfied with the house he built for them. In addition to the experience of staying at our friend's house for a weekend, Scott also showed us another home that he built in Pleasanton. I was very impressed that the owners continue to have very cordial relationships with him years after completion of their houses. Scott worked with us from the design to completion. He regularly updated us with his progress and informed us of possible obstacles so there were no surprises. Throughout the building process, Scott was very professional and open to our suggestions. He gave us advice on many subjects not related to building the house but will make the house more livable and enjoyable.
Our dream retirement home was built on-time and within budget. Everyone who sees our house are impressed by the quality of the construction. I will definitely refer Victor Scott Nordvik to anyone needing quality construction work.
