I'm very disappointed with Dacko Construction and specifically Scott Dacko. I paid him 7k in total for house repairs and remodeling work. 4k up front and 3k when the job was almost done. Half the job was done and unfortunately I paid the remainder. He came back once with a bunch of excuses telling me he can't be held responsible for his workers not showing up and it's not his fault and this and that about his crew and he had to fire one guy. Also the heat stopped working immediately after they were done and he claims coincidence, but no problems in the past 6 months that we purchased the brand new system.
Then he never came back at all. Over 3 weeks pass and no contact from him. I finally threaten legal action and he replies right away. He said that a relative was sick and that is why he couldn't respond. I pointed out the fact that from last night and a few times in the past week, he was posting on Facebook (which he later blocked me and deleted those posts - I saw from a different profile). He claimed it wasn't him. I offered him half on refunding me which I thought was fair. He countered with $1500 and I denied. Then he started getting aggressive. You can see there's ZERO accountability and all excuses. He didn't mind taking the money though.
In closing, it took having to threaten legal remedies for him to get back to me, which was almost right away. Over 3 weeks and he has my money, but didn't respond at all. Another coincidence?
