Please be sure to read this before you hire this man. I hired him because my agent recommended him. I can’t call what he did a “Home inspection”. He inspected the house and then printed the “inspection report” shortly after his inspection of the property. This seemed unusual because it past experiences the inspector takes his time and then emails a thorough report with detailed comments and pictures of the areas inspected. This inspector whose name is Dennis Longeuay handed me the report that was a template and then proceeded to hand me a pencil to take notes on his inspection report. I was shocked and brought this to his attention. He said he would email me a report which up to this date he never has. Then when I went through the house myself, I found several things wrong with it that were not on his report. Some Examples: water stains on skylights where water obviously leaked from the roof, outlets that didn’t work, tons of rat feces with chewed up wires in the lower part of the house next to the garage, damaged wall. He had an excuse and argued as to why they were not on the report saying, “It would not be fair to the owner to point all these things out.” to which I responded that he was hired by me and not the seller. He also rated some areas as more that satisfactory when they should have been rated as unsatisfactory. He is what I would call a charlatan. I would also like to add that he cancelled the first inspection appointment the same day he was supposed to do the inspection making me lose a haIf day of work. I feel he took advantage of me and would hate for someone else to go through this horrible experience.
