    Whole House Remodel

    My home is a testamentary to a complete transformation which I will enjoy forever! Dave had vision when I not only didn’t have, but also resisted every inch of the way. But you managed to gently steer me in the right direction. I have no regrets, except that I wish I could say that I am done with remodeling, but can still see more needed work. You have more to offer and I know that you will never dry up on your creative design. I have been a lucky recipient of your amazing talent.

    Complete remodel

    Details... When I look around at the details of our home, from the artistry of the stone work to the precisely measured placement of light switches and countertop heights, I am forever grateful for our experience in working with Dave Studds. During construction, I always felt comfortable that everything was handled--whether discussions with neighbors and/or the city or inevitable construction issues or changes that we made.

    When I first met Dave, I called him the House Whisperer because he walked through our newly purchased 1960's home and saw a vision for it that was beyond our own imagination. His vision became a reality and I never take a single detail in my home for granted. The zen master bathroom that was my personal dream is a retreat unto itself. Dave listened to my priorities and executed it beautifully. Now when my daughters come in to share makeup or clothes or simply to talk, I can't help but feel grateful for that space and the energy it created: connection, peace, and restoration.

    Recently we experienced an issue with a rental property (built by a contractor who is so notoriously rude and hands off that we'd never think to call him when multiple copper pipes have sprung leaks) and Dave talked me through who to call and how to handle the situation. He was the "bad cop" on our project when we needed him to be, yet he has the biggest heart--just ask our dogs! We consider him a counselor and friend whom we can call for advice and referrals when the need arises (like during torrential rainfalls!)

    My advice to anyone considering a home build or remodel: know your own intention and priorities, communicate them, and at the same time keep an open mind as someone like Dave sees a home from a different perspective. He's creative, meticulous, and capable. I just can't imagine having gone through what can be a stressful process with anyone else. And I can say with certainty that it couldn't have be done more beautifully.
