  Devitis plumbing is amazing to work with. Saved me over 10k for a sewer pipe that 2 other contractors told me I had be replace. Rick and team did the job for 600. Fair, honest and trust worthy.

  We have used Devitis Plumbing on a variety of jobs for our customers, and every time we are surprised by how responsive and professional they are. They have always been fair with our clients price wise (for sump-pump installations, water heater installations, etc.) and we wouldn't use anyone else in the Main Line area.

  Stay away from this contractor.

  I would be very cautious using this contractor unless you like being over-charged. We have actually used them in the past because we were satisfied, however, on our most recent job, we were grossly overcharged and they did nothing to rectify this. We were never notified that the "hourly rate" would include time for travel from Haverford and for "set-up and preparation" and for "evaluating the job on-site" and for "unloading the truck." In total, we paid over $115 for their "travel time and setup" before the project even started. Then, they charged for 4 hours of work in total to fix a pop-up (!!) in the bathroom and a PVC pipe in the basement. Grand total including parts (that also weren't itemized or clearly explained): about $600 for this work!! Ask around and you be the judge if that price is fair, but certainly buyer beware. In addition, I called Rick DeVitis to explain all of this and discuss my grievance. Although he responded promptly, he was not helpful at all. He stated his company did tell us about the driving time, which was not truthful (we never would have agreed to being charged $115/hr for driving time and unloading the truck). And he seemed to think that 4 hours was an appropriate time to complete the job. I told him that our movers are charging us for 6 hours to move 2 homes and a storage facility, and he stated "you can't compare the two because they are different." Although that is true, and plumbing certainly requires more skill than moving boxes from point A to point B, there's no way in the world you can convince me they didn't pad the time clock. Overall, the work seems to have been done well, but I have a very sour taste in my mouth and I would recommend steering clear of this company.
