  deck

  I contracted with DK (Carmine) in January 2025 for a deck. It is June 23, and still no deck. Weeks of silence, then excuse after excuse. Much misinformation and disinformation. Carmine alleges that the delay was due to the hurdles of getting a permit for a simple deck construction. He indicated that he did several in my neighborhood. I called three of his references, and they praised him; however, this has been the worst contracting experience in my life. I sense that I am about to learn that he has gone bankrupt. Does anyone know a good lawyer in this area of concern?

  Deck remodel

  Months of back and forth. Carmine does not relay information to his staff. My check was cashed for the down payment and my credit card was charged in June. The supplied arrived July 29th with no staff to do the job. Wood/supplies sat in my back yard for nearly 40 days. Enough to kill the grass in that area. After staff finally showed up to do the work, they left garbage (McDonalds food and bottles of water) in my backyard with the decking debris. I texted Tony to complain about this. The workers came the next day to bag up the garbage, yet kept it in my backyard. It's now been 5 days since my project has been completed and the debris is still back there. I had someone call to schedule this for today - and as of writing this post, the debris is still in my yard. This is completely unacceptable. I have done nothing but constantly keep up on this business (both Carmine and Tony) for months. It's a battle. Do not recommend for any project unless you want to be sloppy about it.

  Install outdoor stairs

  Put down a 1/3 deposit August 2020 for outdoor stairs to be installed that November. Heard all of the covid/weather excuses. Requested a deposit refund and only received a partial. Next step is the Magistrate!

  build a dek

  This is the worst experience we have had with a contractor. We contracted to have a deck done February 10,2020...put down a deposit of 1/3 the cost. Because of Covid they had to delay, which is understandable. Since then they have done other projects - although Carmine guaranteed we would be the first - at signing of the contract and after they had to shut down because of Covid. We had holes dug last fall - but nothing further. Early this winter he promised we would be the first project this year. Two weeks ago, after we called the lumber company they delivered the first wood. However, no one has come to move it or work on the deck. He is unethical and dishonest. Has a vast array of excuses. I would suggest you look elsewhere.
