This company is horrifying. At first the contractor Santos C Ortez presented himself as a very professional and knowledgeable general contractor. He ensured he was able to do the work. He drew up a contract with a breakdown of prices and it was signed. Employees were not provided utilities to use during work time and were instructed to use a nonfunctional toilet in which they threw the waste into our yard at the end of the work day. The contract clearly stated that the co tractors responsibility is to contact the engineer and architect prior to making structural changes. He did not and each inspection was failed and the project was more delayed. Finally 6 months into the project, the contractor stopped answering our calls and did not do any work on our home for 6 months. When he did, he sent over one worker once a week or once every two weeks. When a complaint was made and we sat down I. His office to voice complaints , we updated the contract and we’re given a date for the work to be completed. We signed but work is still being done with one worker and the contractor is never on site

My niece recommended this contractor during the beginning of her home renovation project. I wanted a beam installed in my basement. My husband is handy and is able to do small home makeovers on his own , but because this was structural we wanted to go with a “professional”. He started the project and never finished it. He does not answer mine or my husbands phone calls. In June it would be a year since he started my project. He suggested getting a legal full bathroom in the basement which required permits and inspections. Plumbers that came over stated he did not complete the work correctly and that it would not pass inspection. Now I am left with money lost and no answer from the contractor. An inspection was what we were waiting for to be filed but the contractor did not ever schedule it.
