    ADU/GARAGE CONVERSION
    $130,000

    AVOID ELITE DESIGN & REMODELING. UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST, UNFINISHED WORK. Juan Carlos Andrade Paulin and his company have caused a year of delays, stress, financial loss, and broken promises. My ADU project began June 2024 and was to be done Sept 2024. As of September 2025, it's still incomplete. Carlos and his team have ignored my calls, texts, and emails for weeks/months. His crew drank alcohol on the job, left trash and caused a rat infestation due to a hole left unsealed in my main house. Carlos promised to pay $4,882 extermination bill, then lied repeatedly about it being paid or mailed. Exterminators confirmed no payment or contact. I paid $3,600 for an electrical panel that was never installed, waiting 2 days for installation on the agreed upon date. NO SHOW. This panel & utilities was supposed to be included in the contract, but was not. I lost rental income from ADU rental and from disgruntled renters in my main house. Communication has been nonexistent or misleading. I've provided Notice of Default and am pursuing legal action. If they respond pretending they don't know who I am, that's a lie. I have everything documented. This company is unprofessional, irresponsible, and dishonest. Save yourself the nightmare and legal costs. DO NOT HIRE ELITE DESIGN & REMODELING. There is already a lawsuit for BREACH of CONTRACT: Cisneros v. Elite Design & Remodeling/Carlos Andrade (Law Office of Robert Schauer in Upland, CA).
