Ernesto Arellano or Ernie as he goes by leaves a lot to be desired in regards to the way his work is completed or lack therefore of. His blatant lack of communication, build quality, lack of receipts or explanation as to cost for labor and materials is frustrating . He just expects you to trust him. You’d think that the norm for a contactor would be to at leas at bare minimum communicate effectively. Al the above seem to have been an afterthought accompanied by mismanagement of time and resources. There are a lot specifics I could go into but don’t have the time or inclination to write a novel about mine and my wife ‘sand I experience with him. I would not recommend him at all to anyone.

Take over the building of primary residence after a contractor burned us badly.
    $155,000

My family and I had a very unfortunate experience with Ernesto Arellano. At the beginning (as all good stories start) everything seemed great enough. Then as life and circumstances got more trying, Ernesto and his unlicensed team kept devolving in their ability to do standard work. He did not finish what he started, the items that did make it to being "almost complete" needed to be redone (some he gave a try to (they are still incorrect and some went ignored - many SAFETY issues remain (we have young children)). I have information from other locations he has built that have an odd list of similar issues that are derived from his work there as well. After he was paid and failed to complete work (the specifics of that list requested by him to be sent for no less than the THIRD time) Ernesto went dark on his pending items and instead sent a letter for Cease & Desist. My Disabled Veteran husband, as well as myself, have requested receipts for items that are already literally falling apart (which was instant) (ONE example - for flooring we paid for and that have a warranty - one can only use a warranty when a receipt is provided- he refuses to provide any sort of documentation). I have had a terrible experience personally and I would never hire him for any task. I implore anyone purchasing a home from Ernesto to walk through there with a professional and review every item as thoroughly as can be done. My family and I thought the "Brand New" home Ernesto tried to help with was safe and complete, one example of what we experienced after Ernesto - We had no choice but to get ALL the plumbing for the ENTIRE HOUSE. Thankfully enough we had actually licensed plumbers to do the work correctly the first time after Ernesto's attempt to "mickey mouse" key components of my home failed. I would advise anyone working with Ernesto Arellano to check all his receipts (if you can get him to provide any), keep a thorough track of his "subs", and hold him to his own word (I say word because he did not bother to give us an actual contract until the very end and even then he got the numbers wrong after HE calculated them). I would also check his headcount of workers and compare to his covered insurance. (Note Ernesto stepped in after the first contractor started building upwards without doing any foundational support and Ernesto "happened to be by" and comment on that person's work) Best of luck to all!
