The owner of this business (Joel Escobedo) is very unprofessional. I would strongly advise you look to another business. He claims to want to do things the "right way," but then does not follow through with his promises. I have to supervise the work myself to make sure they are being done as promised (I should not have to do this as I am not a contractor). When I write down things that have not been done and provide this to him, he does not keep file of our conversations and I often find myself repeating what I have already said/written. This is a waste of my time and his charges are not inexpensive. He was a family friend - now former friend, who supposedly valued our trust and opinion of him, but he is not practicing what he preaches. If he is doing this to us, I wonder what he does to his general public clients. I made the mistake of trusting him too much and paying him in full so that he may pay his workers as he promised he would return to finalize our drip system as well as other items. I tried to contact him through texts and phone messages only to find out that he would not respond for several weeks and when he finally did after threatening formal complaints, he never followed through to complete anything and has continued to ignore us. This process has taken months to still be left here without the job completed. In the process of actively doing the work, we were going to use him to do other things but then changed our minds based on how terrible the whole process was going. I could no longer trust in his work, completing it honestly and in a timely manner. I would be weary of paying for labor only by day as they do not work full days (ie 8am-4 pm). I don't even think he has an active license now researching him. Given we have many choices in this city for landscaping, I would strongly look elsewhere as you will be very frustrated if you use this contractor
