So the bottom line is If you are Using Felton LLC or any of owners Donna St Pierre, Robert Tozer (Bob) or Tanner St Pierre have it in writing. DO not give money up front. Have an inspection done after the work is complete and before you pay them anything.
Chances are they will try to skip on quality of labor and parts. A lot of bait and switch.
My story is Donna was my realtor and promised me the sun and the moon. Bob and Tanner were her family (husband and grandson) that build my 4plex. When the documents were signed Donna was saying how they could customize the place and how builders charge an army and a leg, which was true. To convince us Donna said they do qualify work and they have built least 1500 units before. My mistake I didn’t verify the any of these!
As a General contractor it’s Tanner / Bob's job to make sure the sub-contractors the job right. Not blame it on them and just ignore.
Last thing- If you are spending your life savings buying a house from Realtor Donna St Pierre think again. She used her dead daughter to get sympathy. Now I am thinking if its real. I complained to her company and they are quite so you will never get any issues resolved !!!
Issues stated when it was time to close on the house. A lot of bait and switch compared to the contract.
• Balcony - contact states Rex composite material . Installed regular wood from and not stained.
• Washer and dryer - Its in the contract- Not installed when closed.
• Gas fire place - They cut costs saying its taking time to install but eventually they charged me to install gas.
• Oak wood flooring - Contract says Oak wood flooring. They installed the cheap crap.
• Oak wood cabinets - Got me the cheap cabinets.
• HVAC - Got HVAC from Amazon and Tanner installed them. He's not a qualified HVAC guy. It didn’t work for 3 months.
• Gas Hot Water - I upgraded to tankless hot water. Guess what the exhaust and the intake were 2 inchers a part and was causing me issues from day 1.
• Tile - Bob installed the tile. I know a 5 year old can do a better job.
• Property - Can you imagine a builder starting a project not having a Land Surveyors done? They not only showed me my neighbors land, they went ahead and installed my irrigation system on my neighbors land.
• Cheap labor - They would get the cheapest labor that’s on the market to make a bigger profit margin they wouldn’t know what they are doing.
○ My Walls are bowed. Toilets leaking. Wall hug toilet is not ADA compliant. Cant installed a door nor can paint a regular wall.
• Back yard - They covered tree roots / Cut tree roots hoping they won't die before year warranty.
• Landscape - I was shown a company that would to the landscaping as part of the contract and the same submitted to the city. Guess what, they just put some seeds.
Irrigation system - I was to have an professionally build irrigation system. Guess what, Tanner installed it and you had sprinklers every 3 feet. They are leaking. This is what happens when you get kids to work on your life savings.
