There has been a number of issues with this business since day one, ranging from the poor quality work, delays in completion, lack of communication, improper planning, unpermitted projects, unqualified workers, and more.
On a daily basis, the main garage was left unlocked, the security door was not installed in a timely manner, and lighting/security measures were not in place. In addition, our project is delayed by more than a month, and as a result, 5 major appliances were stolen out of the property. The contractor is denying financial responsibility to replace these items and he's refused to pay for the cost to live off-site due to his delays. Even after the break-in, the crew delayed installing any security measures that were requested and provided by the homeowner (i.e.: motion activated flood lights, metal security door, door alarms, etc). Additionally, windows were left wide open. Beer, marijuana, and cigarette odor was discovered in and around the property. After so many issues with the quality of work, we sought out help from the city/city inspector. It was then discovered that multiple projects they were hired to complete (and in fact, blamed for delays) were done without a permit and not done to the city code. Throughout the process, samples were never provided as stated in the contract and many times we were forced to make quick decisions as to not delay the work. In some instances, materials were ordered and installed without our approval and despite our requests for something different than what was provided.
Around every corner we found something done incorrectly or not to our satisfaction and received multiple excuses from both the contractor and his crew when we pointed those items out. I do not recommend five star builders.
