  Most recent: repair wooden floor and several cracked roof slate shingles

  Update to my Nov. 9, 2014 Review: Subsequent to my last posted review, I have hired Carlos Herrera of G&A 1 Home Improvement Co. to install sidelight windows at my front door; assemble our rear yard metal gazebo; make & install a center-line strength support pole for the gazebo roof (in the event of winter time heavy snow accumulations); install a new shower door; replace the shower hot-cold water valve; routine roofing work including the replacement of cracked & broken slate shingles, copper flashing and semi-annual gutter cleaning; ceramic tile work; constructed replacement roof covered porch at kitchen entrance door; new lighting fixtures; periodic power washing of aver brick walkways, and most recently replaced several sections of water-damaged tongue & groove wooden flooring. And this week his is scheduled to replace a leaking shower base pan and install new ceramic tiles in the bathroom. Future work to be done includes installing exhaust fan in our 2nd bathroom and replace the existing toilet bowl & tank. And install replacement garage doors & headers. Among the work he has performed separately for my nephew, such includes having installed new energy efficient widows throughout his house; sheetrock installation in his basement; capped all exterior house trim with PVC molding; installed insulated dining room door for rear yard access; repositioned front entrance door to prevent lock jamming; sealed exterior basement perimeter abutting the asphalt driveway; installed exterior lighting fixtures; and routine house & garage roofing maintenance work. Work pending includes installing attic roof exhaust fan and install replacement vinyl siding on his detached two car garage. Needless to say, we consider his home improvement work and job skills to be absolutely first-rate. He is "the Best!!"

  The Best!! - Home Improvements

  Carlos, who is the owner of G & A 1 Home Improvements, was recommended to me during the early summer months of 2014, by pest exterminator David Quinn of Freeport who humanely removed several pesky squirrels from my home attic. It was my very good fortune to hire Carlos. He undertook to complete an excellent job with removing and reinstalling the roof line gutters in order to replace several lengthy sections of the rotting fascia board through which the squirrels had been gaining entry. He made a special and careful dollars-savings effort to salvage as much of aluminum gutter as he could instead of simply ripping it off the house for disposal in a trash bin. Several months later (i.e, last week) I hired Carols to install new plywood flooring and insulation in my attic and a drop-down stairs for convenient access. Again, the professional job performance of Carlos and his work crew were commendably first-rate and uniformly excellent. I intend to remain a repeat customer and will ask him to come back next spring for further home-improvement projects at my house.

  I used other contractor, but no body like this one, he was very helpful and the craftsman ship on his work excellent. I highly recommend these company for any type of project in your home.
