By Neil S.August 1, 2020Build a small wall$1,195
He came to build a small wall, took a paver out of my pool patio to match it ... and then lost the paver. The result is that I have a hole in my patio and I'm worse off than when I contacted him! Doesn't wear a mask ... not someone I would use

By a user in West HempsteadJanuary 6, 2018Major house renovation upstairs and downstairs and kitchen$140,000
I had a relatively poor experience with him one decade ago in a pretty major renovation costing about $140,000. He was apparently doing too many jobs at once because after he ripped up my house he sometimes wouldn't return for several days at a time. During the construction his workers left the backyard and garage a total mess. He broke an air conditioning pipe that left the freon escape, costing me several hundred dollars to fix, and denied responsibility. He didn't follow the architect's drawing, causing problems. He asked me to pay his electrical sub contractor's bill that was supposed to be part of the original contract. A decade later we're still living with the consequence of poor insulation which makes the house hard to heat in the winter. There have been many more problems than I can possibly recount there. Not everything was a disaster. He did the molding and some other things just fine. And he's a nice and charming guy. But I feel I must say the truth about my experience with him here. I would not recommend him.

Mark Gibbons did a major renovation at my Port Washington home and also did another smaller basement upgrade for me. The experience on both projects was fabulous and Mark and his crew are a lot of fun. I was sorry to see them go!!
