Not sure if this is the contractor who I hired to renovate my kitchen, Anthony Ahn came to my house quoted $23776 told me if I paid him cash he'd give me a 10% discount. paid him $16300 so far it's been almost 6 weeks I still don't have a sink dishwasher not Hooked up granite is a mess, not finished. they bent my new microwave. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANTHONY'S SERVICES. I'm actually thinking he was working this on the side. My storage space was reduced by 20% because I wanted a lazy Susan in the corner, his cabinet person obviously doesn't know what that is because only thing they did was put accordion door not moving shelves. RUN RUN RUN. I'll be seeing him in court!

We hired GPE Construction in 2022 for $54,250 to complete work at our residence, but the experience was highly unsatisfactory from the start. Several issues highlighted the company’s lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
Poor Quality Work:
Flooring & Baseboards: Flooring was installed improperly without an expansion gap or vapor barrier, causing cupping and breakage. Though the contractor acknowledged this, they now blame us for the issues. Baseboards were cut so poorly that gaps had to be filled with spackling, which later cracked due to expansion. Despite asking us to purchase floor protection sheets, they never used them, and we had to protect the floors ourselves from further damage.
Kitchen:
Gas Range: Installed improperly, leading to a gas leak, which was detected by us, not the contractor.
Electrical: The 240V wiring for the oven was dangerously spliced without a junction box, left exposed in the attic, and dangerously close to the gas leak. After much pushback, the issue was eventually resolved.
Vent Hood: The contractor initially insisted on venting into the attic rather than outside. It took several discussions to get this fixed.
Cabinetry: Cabinets were installed with visible chips, poorly mounted handles, and even caulked-over errors.
Tiling: The kitchen tiles were poorly grouted. When informed, the contractor used white caulk over the gray grout, resulting in discoloration that persists today.
Lack of Communication: Communication was inconsistent. Our concerns, such as the improper "H" pattern in the flooring, were ignored, and issues had to be repeatedly raised to get any action.
Unreliable and Unprofessional Behavior: Workers were frequently late, did not return after lunch breaks, and left the site messy each day. Despite an agreement to reimburse materials with receipts, the contractor claimed double the cost without supporting documentation.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with GPE Construction's service. I would not recommend them to anyone seeking reliable, high-quality work. I regret trusting them with my home and may seek legal advice regarding the damaged flooring.
