    HVAC Installation

    We signed a contract for installation of a 4 ton and 3 ton Multi unit condensers which will cost $46K. The GreenTeam advertised their Mitsubishi Hyper Heat H2i plus condenser to us as a win-win situation where there is practically no cost to homeowners and the cost of installation will be coming from the Clean Heat program $46K through rebates. They claimed this is new technology which would provide sufficient heat with energy save technology. However, this company failed to deliver many things in the homeowner's best interest. Before we sign the contract, everything sounded smooth and free of obstacles. The project manager assured us we don’t have anything to worry and they will take care of us. Whenever one company claims that, just be careful.

    1)The sale rep (Fernando Chavez) showed us the brochure for Mitsubishi Hyper Heat H2i Condenser, but on date of the installation, the company delivered 2 different condensers. 1 Mitsubishi Hyper Heat H2i plus and the 2nd one was Mitsubishi Trane Condenser. When confronted with the company of why they installing 2 different units instead of both being Mitsubishi Hyper Heat H2i plus as shown in the brochure, they claimed that these 2 units are identical(one made for export) and it meets the Clean Heat program for their rebates, it allows them to install it without regard to homeowners concern that they are delivering units different than what they were advertising to the homeowners. When you deal with this company, I will advise to have the contract written in very specific manner before signing because they will try to bend it. Once you signed, it is almost impossible to have them send you the amended contract with units being installed. Our request for months to get the updated contract send over was kept getting bounce back and forth between Fernando and the project manager James Hayes.

    2)This company also failed to file for the proper permits to conduct work on upgrades electrical breaker box and the installing over 36K BTU units with the DOB. The project manager kept saying you don’t really "need" to apply for permit, even tho it is required on the Department of Building. Up until today, we still did not get any remedy for permits while the management (Al Lopez) guaranteed that they will submit the permit on our behalf without cost.

    3)Since the day the contract was signed till the installation date, the communication between the delivering crews through the project manager to install crews was almost non-existence. The company included in the price of 46K, the removing of 4 window units and make "reasonable effort" to find a match sidings for us. When the installation started, we asked when will the sidings will be replaced, we were thrown back and forth from the project manager to the install team leader regarding the status of siding replacement. The company DID NOT make any "reasonable afford" to find a siding for us. The house was left holes from removing the prior AC wall units for a month and gone through days of rains before they finally got someone to close it up with the siding we provided.
    All in all, this was never a win-win situation, false advertisement, fail to submit proper permits, pushing responsibilities from 1 department to another and lack of communication. This company will charge the NYC max amount they can profit, but lack the integrity to do it right by the homeowners. Homeowners should think twice before doing business with this company, either HVAC or Solar.

    4)The sale rep (Fernando Chavez) reassured us before the installation that the ConEd bill will not been extremely high and that it will only be $400ish top. Our bill for 02/2022 was a whopping $688.00. This company will do whatever it takes to make u sign the contract and leave you there to bankrupt yourself.
