We hired Tyler Seidler who owns handytys LLC in August 2016. When we finally closed on our building on October 2016 he "began construction" to build out our martial arts school. He needed $12,000 for "materials" and told us it would take no more than 1- 2 months. We promoted and then had to cancel a Grand Opening the first week in December. January... Not done. February not done. After multiple frustrating conversations...no revenue coming in...lost opportunity for our business not being opened . He told us he needed more money to get a bunch of guys in to finish the job. We gave him close to $65,000 when we received an email saying he couldn't finish and was moving to Arizona. We were left with a project that was 2-3 months behind schedule, less than 50% complete, he never bought all the materials to finish the job. We had to spend an additional $15,000 in materials alone to finish...not including labor costs. Then to find out he never paid the electrician $2,500 who had to give us the final inspection. So we had to pay an additional $2,500 for that as well as some custom carpenter work to build benches and welcome counters. We also found out he never paid the painter $2,100, never paid another worker five weeks of pay. Many attempts have been made to get some kind of refund and money back... But we have been unsuccessful. We now have to have our attorneys pursue legal and criminal action. This is the lowest level of integrity that someone in business could have. I would never hire this person to work for me...he literally lied to our face multiple times and walked off with money that wasn't earned or deserved.
