While installing cabinets, contractor did NOT cover the sink drain as he took out the existing backsplash. 2 of us in the house saw all the debris in the sink, and 1 of us moved it all out of the way and placed the mesh strainer in place. The next time we went to use the disposal, horrible metal grinding sound. It was clear that before we place the strainer, debris had gotten in. The contractor LIED to the insurance company, saying he had covered the sink. Now I have to get a plumber to "prove" what went down the disposal before I pressure the insurance company (the contractor's) to pay for the disposal he carelessly ruined. DO NOT HIRE A LIAR!
