I bought a home that was remodled by Irish Builders. As presented to me, the work was 'done to code but not permitted'. What I found out was the work was done, not to code, and not permitted.
Our deck wasn't build correctly so it sagged, there were electrical boxes buried in walls everywhere (highly dangerous) , the shower wasn't sealed correctly, plumbing was wonky and not done correctly... the list goes on.
Be careful with these guys. If you don't have them get permits (and the city inspects their work) they will cut corners and do shoddy work EVERYWHERE.
