We have used Ish Construction 5 times now - I own two multifamily buildings and they have done work on a number of apartments including kitchen renovations, tiling, bathroom renovations, plumbing and electrical. The quality of their work is excellent and was always done on budget and timely. They are always focused on quality construction and safety. I have recommended Ish Construction to others and all have been pleased including some who were repeat clients.

We hired Ish Constuction for a large residential job. Ishmael Mejia repeatedly demonstrated poor financial and work flow management of our project. Specialty work including tile and carpentry was not subbed out to trades people but performed by the general construction crew. Work had to be repeated often and was not completed to a high standard. The lack of oversight caused excessive delay and was compounded by the contractor leaving the country several times. Other work was completed without prior sign-off on design etc. Ish Constuction ultimately abandoned the job leaving us with an open permit and dangerous stair installation after being paid in excess of $300k. This contractor lacks professional integrity and the basic skills to complete large residential construction work.

We have used ISH Construction on a number of things for our home. Full gut, home conversion (4 family brownstone to one), and it was executed beautifully. Electrical, bathroom and kitchen renovation with custom cabinetry. There were a few delays, but that it expected due to supply chain issues that we are going through. He is extremely professional, honest and upfront with expectations and expenses. Our home is being reviewed to be featured in several design magazines from how beautiful it is.
The negative review above is quite the opposite of our experience and quite honestly, not a true description of ISH Construction and Ishmael. I have recommended Ishmael to several friends and they have gone forward with him and VERY satisfied. Overall, absolutely highly recommend.
