  remove dirt from my yard with dump truck

  $5,600

  I hired this company to remove extra dirt from our 180acre property. we were quoted it would take 8 dump truck loads to remove. we have a cement driveway and next to it is a dirt road that leads to the back where all the dirt was. my husband was asked the owner of the company Adam to drive only on the dirt road and not on the cement driveway. Around lunch time I came home and found Adam sitting on our front porch eating lunch with his dump truck half way on our driveway. when I confronted him he assured me his truck was empty and nothing would happen to my cement but when I looked out my upstairs window the truck was full. he lied right to my face. when I got home later that night I found a crack running across the drive with a oil spot where the dump truck was sitting. he is just plain lazy and didnt want to park his truck in the back and walk up front to eat his lunch. On top of that when he asked for a check from my husband he said it ended up taking 10 truck loads which was quite a bit more money than his bid. a couple days later my husband decided to look at our security cameras and seen it only took 5 loads. I tried to stop payment on the check but it was to late he cashed the check as soon as he left here that day. we thought about taking him to small claims court but when doing more research I found he has been sued a couple times already. we decided to count our losses and move on.
  p.s. the crack in our driveway has got a lot bigger witch Adam assured us would not.

  concrete work

  I also had a bad experience with j.a.schroyer as I see a lot of people have. very unprofessional, crappy work and way over priced. my advice is to find another contractor!

  I’m not sure what happened with the other guy. I’m sure he is being honest, however I had the complete opposite experience. He was also recommended from people who have had worked done over the last 30 years by his father who is still around helping! Their work has lasted all that time and still looks great!

  Concrete my driveway

  $8,000

  This company does faulty work. After 6 months my concrete driveway started to crack. I called the owner Adam schroyer he told me he would come take a look at it as soon as he could. After multiple phone calls and months later my driveway cracked even more. A year and a half went by and my kids couldn’t even skate board on the driveway. Adam schroyer never lives up to his word about the quality of work his company does. I finally had to bit the bullet and hire a new contractor to tear out the old driveway and pour a new one. The new contractor informed me Adam never packed the ground underneath the concrete he also pour less than 2” of concrete when is should have been no less than 4”. He also never put steel reinforcement in. Stay away from j a schroyer unless you like paying twice for one job.
