Joe Cacioppo (the owner of JAC Woodworking) agreed to install handrails on two staircases inside our home. This expert carpenter of 30 years spent an entire day locating studs in the wall and trying to make a 45 degree joint between two pieces of wood. My family became critical and suspicious ( as any customer should) of his work and credentials. The next day he came and took all the supplies for the job back to his house. He was in the process of stealing our money and we didnt know it. In the end, he stole $500 in cash, and does not return any phone calls. He justifies his actions by saying, "he has never been so insulted in his life". All we were doing was inspecting his shoddy lack of work. Consumer affairs has been contacted, but the gears are turning slowly. Please do yourself a favor and never hire this fraud.
